The crowd at Bowery Ballroom ignited as FRENSHIP took the stage, Sunday 4/15. Playing fan favorites LOVE Somebody, 1,000 Nights, Knives and of course Capsize, to name a few.
The duo took the stage with enough energy to fill the room, although it was far from empty.
Their coordinated dance moves did not disappoint. With stamina seeming to last hours the pair never faded out.
The vocals were comparable to what I hear on a regular basis through my headphones. Something I can’t say about many up-and-coming bands.
The opener, YOKE LORE, was a phenomenal choice. Starting with a song that popped up on my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist last summer, I was already hooked. They began mellow but worked the crowd into it. A perfect warm-up for what was to come.
Sharing the stage, FRENSHIP front men James Sunderland and Brett Hite take electronic music to another level with meaningful lyrics and impressive vocals.
Towards the end of the set, FRENSHIP premiered a new song at the Ballroom Mi Amore which just dropped Friday.
If you didn’t know about this band I suggest you familiarize yourself and get out to one of their shows before they up the price.
