South American Pop Superstar Luz Pinos to Headline DROM May 23
Mundos Music is honored to announce that Luz Pinos is returning with her first live NYC show in nearly a year to present TOUR VIDA – a special performance of her compositions with a band.
Luz Pinos is a singer songwriter from Guayaquil, Ecuador based in New York City. She graduated in Contemporary Dance in Guayaquil, and then moved to NYC to pursue a career as a professional singer. After finishing another degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music and having a child, Luz found her signature sound through turning her personal stories into craftfully rhythmic compositions, influenced by Ecuadorian and South American styles.
Luz said about her latest album in an interview with Tidal: “It’s a very sincere album. I 
was looking to be able to give the listener a pure connection to the music. I feel like the overall genre of this album if I had to choose would be South American pop. This genre I describe comes from listening to artists like Juan Luis Guerra and Carlos Vives, this is my fusion of what I grew up listening to.”
